Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts - Week 5, 2016

Date: October 9, 2016

Location: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN)

Final Score: Colts 29, Bears 23

Weather at Kickoff: Indoors

The Fit: White Jersey / Navy Pants

Vegas Line: +4.5 Bears

Key Notes: This game was a masterclass in "moving the ball but getting absolutely nowhere." Hoyer threw for 397 yards. Read that again. Almost 400 yards! And we still only managed 23 points. It’s like driving 500 miles just to end up in the same parking lot you started in. We outgained them by nearly 130 yards and still found a way to lose. That’s the kind of efficiency you can’t even teach.

Jordan Howard was the only reason to stay awake, putting up 163 total yards. But every time we got close to the end zone, we’d settle for a field goal. Connor Barth got more work than a plumber in an old apartment building. Andrew Luck eventually woke up and did Andrew Luck things, and we walked away with a loss that felt like a missed opportunity—mostly because it was.
