Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears - Week 4, 2016

Date: October 2, 2016

Location: Soldier Field (Chicago, IL)

Final Score: Bears 17, Lions 14

Weather at Kickoff: 62°F (Overcast)

The Fit: Navy Jersey / White Pants

Vegas Line: +3.0 Bears

Key Notes: Finally, a win! And we did it the old-fashioned way: by finding a guy who actually likes hitting people. Jordan Howard made his first start, and he ran like a man who was trying to break through a brick wall to get to a free buffet. 111 rushing yards later, and we had ourselves a running back. It was the first time all year I didn't feel the urge to change the channel by the third quarter.

The defense actually showed up, too. We held Matthew Stafford without an offensive touchdown. Their only score was a punt return, which is the most Bears way to almost blow a lead. Brian Hoyer was... fine. He threw two touchdowns and didn't turn the ball over, which, after the Week 2 Cutler debacle, felt like winning the lottery. It wasn't pretty, but in 2016, we didn't have the luxury of being picky.
